Dr. Sylvia Bartley opens with an update on the Covid-19 crisis and how the African American community is especially hard hit with the disease. In this episode, she welcomes U.S. Senator Tina Smith (D-MN) to discuss what is being done and what can still be done at the national level to improve results for Americans. Dr. Bartley also welcomes Toni Newborn, Chief Equity Officer at the City of Saint Paul, to discuss the status of Covid-19 throughout the community, what trends they are seeing, and what the city is doing to tackle the pandemic at a local level.
